Hardback – publisher’s full red leather binding with title in gilt to spine and gilt decoration to boards, page-block with all edges gilt, dark green endpapers. pp. [12], 224, [3], [1] colophon, including b/w illustrations. 7.25 x 5.25 inches approx. (188mm x 132mm).

Macmillan Children’s Books published facsimile editions of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, each were available in both cloth and leather bindings, the latter now somewhat more uncommon to find.

Leather a touch rubbed to edges; a small blemish in the leather to rear board; Edges of page-block slightly scratched and rubbed in places.

Overall, a nice, clean copy of the leather edition – lovely – comes with original cellophane wrap (not pictured) which has kept the leather clean and bright.
