Three Men on the Bummel
Jerome K. Jerome
London: The Readers Library Publishing Company Ltd, [1929]*
The Readers Library published affordable editions of popular fiction in the period 1924-35, cheaply produced but very attractive with their wrap-round dustwrapper artwork.
Originally published in 1900 by J. W. Arrowsmith and a sequel to ‘Three Men in a Boat’ (Arrowsmith, 1889).
Hardback in dustwrapper. pp 252, [1] advert. Size: 6.75 x 4.25 inches approx. (170mm x 107mm).
Dustwrapper rubbed and worn, especially spine ends and corner tips with small loss; spine darkened; foxed and toned to verso. Light shelf wear to spine and boards; gilt dulled to spine. Pages age-toned thoughout but generally clean; edges of page-block dusty.
Overall, showing some light wear but otherwise a nice copy – presents well.
