This Flint illustrated edition originally published 1909 as a Riccardi Press Book† (Warner/Medici) in a limited edition of 500 copies; this copy being the less sumptuous, though no less nice, smaller format 1913 reprint.
Hardback. Publisher’s dark red cloth with gilt title and decoration to spine and front board. Page-block with top edge gilt; untrimmed to fore-edge and bottom edge, some pages remaining uncut. pp [2] blank, [i]-xi, [3] blank, [1]-66, [1] colophon, including nine colour plates, plus colour frontispiece. Size: 9.25 x 6.5 inches approx. (236mm x 165mm).
Cloth a little grubby and marked in places, some darkening to spine; light wear and rubbing to extremities. Heavily foxed to endpapers and adjacent pages; age-toning, some dustiness and occasional foxing but generally pages very clean throughout; plates clean and bright; gilt to top edge dulled and dusty.
Overall, showing wear but otherwise remaining a reasonably nice, clean copy.
