Hardback in price-clipped dustwrapper. pp xviii, 126, plus b/w and colour plates. 9.75 x 7.5 inches approx. (245mm x 187mm)
Dustwrapper rubbed and worn especially spine ends and corner tips, a few short edge tears; dusty and marked in places, a few minor splash marks, some foxing/spotting; spine sunned and dulled. Spine and boards lightly rubbed to extremities; cloth clean and bright except for rusty spotting to top edge of boards, and some mottling to spine and front board – not dampstaining but more likely moisture/condensation forming under the dustwrapper and lifting the dye (with no staining to d/w). Offsetting to endpapers, owner inscription in ink to front free endpaper; occasional foxing throughout but generally pages clean; edges of page-block spotted, especially to top edge, with some encroachment into margins; musty.
Nonetheless, a particularly nice, attractive copy that presents well.
