Volume One has a wrap-round band publicising the 1953 film ‘Decameron Nights’ starring Joan Fontaine and Louis Jordan.
Hardback – publisher’s cloth with gilt title to spines, decorated endpapers, in dustwrappers. pp xxii, b/w frontis, 293 + xii, b/w frontis, 250, [2]. Size: 7.25 x 4.75 inches approx. (186mm x 122mm).
Light wear and rubbing to dustwrappers, especially spine ends and corner tips; some toning and dustiness, sunned to spine; light foxing. Cloth mottled and dusty; bumped to lower corner of boards of volume one. A name and date in ink to first blank page of each volume; pages a little dusty and spotted to edges but generally clean throughout; musty. Wrap-round band worn, torn and creased with small loss.
Overall, showing some light wear but otherwise nice, clean copies – and uncommon to find with the film tie-in wrap-round band.
