Originally published in 1936, a story of life during the depression years in the fictional South Riding of Yorkshire.
Hardback in dustwrapper. 448pp. 8 x 5.5 inches approx. (203mm x 138mm).
Light wear and rubbing to dustwrapper, especially spine ends and corner tips; a little dusty and marked to rear panel; spine sunned and toned; somewhat foxed/toned, with offsetting to flaps, however in the main only visible to reverse side. Boards/cloth a little dusty and marked but generally clean, gilt titles a touch dulled; a previous owner’s name and date in ink to front free endpaper; offsetting to first and last pages otherwise generally clean throughout; a touch spotted to fore-edge of page-block.
Overall, light wear but otherwise a nice, clean copy – attractive in its dustwrapper.
