Rudyard Kipling’s Verse 1885-1932
London: Hodder and Stoughton Limited, 2nd impression November 1934
The fourth edition of the ‘Inclusive Edition’, the first impression of this edition being published October 1933.
Hardback – leather-style cloth with titles in gilt to spine and front board, page-block with top edge gilt, marbled effect endpapers, presented in a custom-made slipcase with mulberry buckram ends and red Clairefontaine Ingres papered sides. pp xviii, 821. Size: 9 x 6 inches approx. (228mm x 154mm).
Light wear and rubbing to covers; some scratches and paint marks to rear board (from a shelf or wall?); boards a touch bowed and springy. Endpapers a little dusty and marked; pages a little dusty and age-toned, some corner creasing, but generally clean throughout.
Overall, light wear but otherwise a nice, clean copy – attractive in its complementary slipcase.
