First in the series of ‘Envelope Books’ and originally published in 1907*, this copy being the fifth issue with fifteen titles listed at the rear of the book.

Hardback – cloth binding with pasted-on illustration to front board, titling in gilt to spine and front. [not numbered]pp plus five tipped-in colour plates. 7.25 x 3.5 inches approx. (184mm x 92mm).

Booksellers ticket – Goulden & Curry, Tunbridge Wells – to front paste-down.

Cloth showing light wear and rubbing, dusty and a touch sunned/faded; foxing throughout especially to preliminaries and last few pages; final plate showing some creasing to corner.

Overall, a particularly nice copy in collectable condition.
