This copy one of 550 copies printed on small paper at The Chiswick Press; a further 60 copies were printed on large paper. Nicely presented in a binding by Zaehnsdorf of London.
Hardback – full leather with gilt decoration and leather title labels to spine, gilt rules to boards, gilt inner dentelles, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers. pp lxii, [i], clvi, colophon. 6.5 x 4.25 inches approx. (168mm x 108mm).
Binding a touch worn and rubbed, especially to tail of spine at front board; light staining to front board; spine a little faded and discoloured. Owner inscription to first blank; occasional foxing and dustiness but generally pages very clean throughout.
Overall, light wear but remains a very nice copy – a handsome binding.
