Hardback – full leather, gilt decoration to boards and spine, all edges gilt, ribbon bookmark sewn in.
566pp including b/w illustrations. 9 x 6.25 inches approx.

Upper raised band on spine a little rubbed at proudest point; ribbon page marker has marked the pages (no doubt a common occurrence with Franklin’s use of vivid coloured ribbons); gilded edges to page-block a little marked and rubbed in places.

Nonetheless, light wear commensurate with age and handling otherwise a lovely, presentable copy indeed.
