One-Man Caravan
Robert Edison Fulton
London: The Travel Book Club, 1939
Around the world on a motorcycle in the 1930s, travelling home to the United States and taking in Europe, Greece, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Afganistan, India, Malaya, China and Japan on the way.
Originally published in the United States by Harcourt, Brace and Company (1937) and in the United Kingdom by George G. Harrap & Company (1938), this copy from the Travel Book Club in 1939.
Hardback in dustwrapper. 272pp including b/w illustrations plus b/w plates, illustrated endpapers. 8.5 x 6 inches approx. (220mm x 150mm).
Dustwrapper very worn and torn, with some loss; grubby and stained. Cloth discoloured in places but generally clean; boards a little knocked to corners; cloth to spine head a touch stretched. Scattered foxing and dustiness/marking throughout but generally pages reasonably clean; spotted/foxed to edges of page-block with some encroachment on to page margins; upper corner of page-block a little bumped.
Nonetheless, remaining a reasonably nice copy complete with the uncommon, albeit poor, dustwrapper.
