A walking/guide book in the “On Foot” series from the publishers Alexander Maclehose. Each book in the series with attractive dustwrapper art, this title illustrated with a woodcut by Stephen Bone (1904-58).
Hardback – cloth with titles to spine and front board, in dustwrapper. pp [12], 247, [1] advert, plus b/w plates and map endpapers. 7.5 x 5 inches approx. (190mm x 127mm).
Dustwrapper dusty/grubby and unevenly tanned, some foxing; rubbed and worn. Cloth dusty. Occasional foxing to pages and some dustiness, otherwise generally clean throughout; edges of page-block dusty.
Nonetheless, remaining an attractive copy.
