A walking/guide book in the “On Foot” series from the publishers Alexander Maclehose. Each book in the series with attractive dustwrapper art, this title by C. F. [Charles Frederick] Tunnicliffe (1901-79).
Hardback – cloth with titles to spine and front board, in a later issue pale-green dustwrapper priced 2/6 to spine. pp ix, [1] blank, 1-[196], plus b/w plates and map endpapers. Size: 7.5 x 5 inches approx. (190mm x 129mm).
Dustwrapper rubbed and worn to folds and extremities; some fading and discolouration to spine; dusty/grubby in places. Cloth dusty/grubby especially to spine. Pages foxed and dusty throughout; edges of page-block dusty and spotted; a smoky/nicotine odour.
Nonetheless, remaining an atractive copy in its Tunniclife dustwrapper.
