A walking/guide book in the “On Foot” series from the publishers Alexander Maclehose. Each book in the series with attractive dustwrapper art, this title by C. F. [Charles Frederick] Tunnicliffe (1901-79).
Hardback – cloth with titles to spine and front board, in the first issue dustwrapper priced 5 shillings. pp ix, [1] blank, 1-[196], plus b/w plates and map endpapers. Size: 7.5 x 5 inches approx. (190mm x 128mm).
Dustwrapper rubbed and worn, especially spine ends and corner tips; dusty, grubby and marked. Cloth dusty. Pages somewhat foxed, heavily in places; edges of page-block very spotted and with some encroachment into margins.
Nonetheless, remaining a reasonably nice copy.
