Well illustrated throughout.

Bears the armorial bookplate of Francis Hugo Lindley Meynell to front paste-down. Designed by ‘W.M.’ and dated 1914.

Hardback in dustwrapper, page-block with top edge gilt. 176pp including b/w illustrations and eight colour plates. 11.25 x 8.25 inches approx. (288mm x 212mm).

Slightly tall dustwrapper worn and chipped along top edge; a couple of holes to spine and some loss to head and tail; tanned to rear panel and especially spine. Boards a touch bumped to upper corner; occasional foxing and dustiness throughout mainly to preliminaries and last few pages but generally clean; tanned and spotted to page edges.

Overall, showing some wear but otherwise remaining a nice, attractive copy.
