My Turn Next
Winston Graham
Ward, Lock & Co. Ltd., 1st edition 1942
From the blurb – ‘Covering the five days leave of a young squadron leader, the book is a distinctive type of mystery story with an unusually effective love interest’.
A mystery/suspense novel from the author of the ‘Poldark’ books.
Hardback – grey cloth with black lettering to spine, in a dustwrapper. 224pp. Size: 7.5 x 5.25 inches approx. (190mm x 130mm).
Dustwrapper dusty/grubby, with some foxing; wear and rubbing to extremities including spine ends and corner tips; some loss to top edge of front panel, with a strip of what looks like ‘archival tape’ applied over the top and then paper tape to verso; strips of paper tape reinforcement to spine ends. Cloth boards a little dusty and marked but generally clean and with little wear. Light foxing to endpapers; occasional foxing to pages but generally very clean throughout; dusty and spotted to edges of page-block.
Nonetheless, a reasonably nice, clean copy complete with its attractive dustwrapper – uncommon.
