Hardback – publisher’s cloth with blind decoration to spine and front board and with titles in black, in a dustwrapper. pp [3] endpapers with adverts, 758, plus b/w and colour plates, adverts [16] + [3] endpapers. 8 x 5.5 inches approx. (205mm x 137mm).

A dated gift inscription on a slip of paper loosely inserted.

Dustwrapper rubbed and edge worn, especially to folds, spine ends and corner tips; small tear with wear and rucking to lower quarter of spine; a little dusty/grubby and scuffed in places. Cloth clean and bright; a touch crushed to spine ends; bump to upper corner of rear board. Sporadic foxing throughout but generally pages clean; edges of page-block dusty and spotted with come encroachment onto margins.

Overall, showing wear but otherwise a particularly well preserved copy – attractive in its dustwrapper.
