Maud – A Monodrama
Alfred Lord Tennyson
Macmillan and Co. Limited, 1922
This edition with illustrations by Edmund J. Sullivan.
Hardback – publisher’s cloth with titles and decoration in silver to spine and front board, in dustwrapper. x, 103pp including b/w illustrations plus colour plates. 9 x 6.5 inches approx. (233mm x 162mm).
Dustwrapper worn with some loss; a few short edge tears; foxing to front flap, a touch grubby and marked to rear panel; foxed and heavy offsetting to reverse, with a couple of repairs with what appears to be Scotch Magic Tape. Boards a touch knocked to corners and spine ends slightly turned in, otherwise cloth very clean; foxed to endpapers; heavy offsetting to first blank and last page; inscription to first blank; spotting to edges of page-block, dusty to top; scattered foxing throughout but generally pages clean.
Overall, a nice copy in the uncommon, albeit worn, dustwrapper.
