H is for Hawk by Helen Macdonald (Jonathan Cape, 1st edition 2014)
H is for Hawk
Helen Macdonald
Jonathan Cape, 1st edition 2014
From the dustwrapper blurb: Destined to be a classic of nature writing, “H is for Hawk” is a record of a spiritual journey – an unflinchingly honest account of Macdonald’s struggle with grief during the difficult process of the hawk’s taming and her own untaming.
Hardback in dustwrapper. pp [10], 300, [2]. Size: 8.75 x 5.75 inches approx. (222mm x 144mm).
Dustwrapper rubbed and worn to extremities; a little rolled/creased to top edge; some light scoring and indentations to front panel; a touch dusty. Front board showing multiple ‘blunt dart point’ indentations; no inscriptions; pages clean.
Overall, showing some light wear otherwise a nice, clean copy – attractive.
