Illustrated with scenes from the Fox produced film ‘Captain Lash’ (1929) starring Victor McLaglen, Claire Windsor and Jane Winton.
Hardback in dustwrapper. pp 187, [3] publisher’s adverts, plus 8 pages of b/w plates. 6.75 x 4.5 inches approx. (170mm x 108mm).
Dustwrapper rubbed and worn, small loss to spine ends and corner tips; a little dusty and spotted; printing ink bleed through to rear flap/panel (not a damp stain); poorly folded when published – title slipping off spine towards rear panel. Covers rubbed and lightly worn to extremities; lightly mottled; gilt a bit dulled. Pages age tanned throughout; a short tear to top and bottom edge of pages (page-block not cleanly cut during production); plates cockled to margins.
Nonetheless, remaining a reasonably nice, clean copy – attractive in its dustwrapper.
