This Monro S. Orr illustrated edition with eight colour plates was originally published by Harrap in 1925, this copy being the 1928 reprint. I believe an earlier edition with twelve colour plates was published by Harrap in 1914.
Hardback – publisher’s decorated cloth in a matching dustwrapper. pp vii, 309, including two b/w illustrations (on the Contents and Illustrations list pages) plus eight colour plates. Size: 8 x 6 inches approx. (207mm x 153mm).
Dustwrapper showing some light wear and rubbing to spine ends and corner tips; a touch dusty and marked in places. Cloth clean and bright; spine ends lightly bruised; boards lightly knocked to corners. A gift inscription to front free endpaper; offsetting to half-title page; pages age toned, some dustiness and occasional grubby mark but generally clean throughout; page edges a little roughly cut in places.
Overall, a particularly nice, clean copy – quite lovely and uncommon to find in the dustwrapper.
