The People’s Edition* of ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ (1865) was originally published in 1887 and with many subsequent printings since then, this copy being a 1952 printing.
Hardback. Publisher’s green cloth with title to spine and front board; illustrated to front board in black and red, publisher’s emblem to rear board. pp , -177-,  colophon, including b/w illustrations. Size: 7.5 x 5.25 inches approx. (189mm x 130mm).
Light wear and rubbing to cloth; light sunning/fading to spine and front board; boards lightly knocked to corners. Endpapers toned and foxed; front free endpaper has an ink inscription and an erased, but heavy handed, pencilled name; pages a little dusty but generally clean throughout; tear to page 3/4 which has been neatly repaired with archival tape (see image below); edges of page-block spotted and toned.
Overall, showing wear but otherwise a reasonably nice, clean copy – attractive.
