Superbly illustrated throughout in colour by Gwynedd M. Hudson.

Hardback – publisher’s red cloth with gilt title to spine and gilt title and decoration to front board, lacks the dustwrapper. pp [10], 181, two-tone illustrations on the endpapers and in the text, plus twelve colour plates with titled guards. 10 x 8 inches approx. (255mm x 203mm).

Cloth faded to spine; spine ends turned in with some light wear; boards a little knocked to corners. Foxing and offsetting to endpapers, quite heavy to rear; ownership inscription in ink; spotted/foxed to edges of page-block; occasional foxing or mark/dustiness to pages but generally very clean throughout.

Overall, faded spine aside, a particularly nice, clean copy.
